Manchester United (2nd) – 15 Wins, 3 Draws, 3 Losses
GK, Lindegaard – 7.0
Didn’t have much to do but looked assured when called upon. Put a couple of balls into touch from goal kicks.
CB, Ferdinand – 8.0
Strong at the back and made a surging run down the left flank nearly setting up a goal. Bolton rarely troubled, however.
CB, Evans – 8.0
Growing in confidence with every game, Evans made several lunging tackles in the box and played the ball from the back well.
RB, Rafael – 7.5
Looked great going forward, teaming up well with Valencia on the right side, but was caught out at back too often. He also made a goal line clearance.
LB, Evra – 8.0
Led the attack from the back, playing several one-twos with Nani that split open the Bolton defense.
CM, Carrick – 9.0 (1 Goal)
Man of the match. Carrick dictated the pace of the game and made a few defense-splitting passes. Scored an excellent goal from just outside the box.
CM, Scholes – 8.0 (1 Goal)
A great return to the starting line-up, Scholes popped up in front of goal to turn in the crucial 1st goal. Looked winded after an hour.
RW, Valencia – 9.0
A great performance from Valencia who would have had a few assists if the front men had shown a bit more endeavor to reach his numerous crosses from the right.
LW, Nani – 6.5
Another lackluster performance. Looked inventive in the first 20 minutes, but became less involved as the game continued.
ST, Rooney – 8.5 (2 Assists, Missed Penalty)
An all-around fantastic performance marred only by Adam Bogdan’s excellent penalty save.
ST, Welbeck – 8.0 (1 Goal)
Played well but had few chances. Took his best chance well, though he was injured stretching to reach it.
Sub, Giggs – 7.5 (1 Assist)
Came on for Scholes and provided the assist for Carrick.
Sub, Park – 6.5
On for Nani but found it difficult to get involved.
Sub, Hernandez – 6.5
Came on late for Welbeck but linked up well with Rooney and Valencia.
